Giuseppe De Chirico is one of Italy's most popular
contemporary Christian artists. His first album entitled
Volo (La Sorgente Music) was released in 1986.
He then began touring intensively, performing throughout
Italy and abroad in countries including Switzerland, France,
Holland, Sweden, England and the United States.
De Chirico's music is an enjoyable blend of folk-rock with
the Italian singer/songwriter genre, tastefully combined with
provocative, poetic lyrics.
After several years absence from the music scene, he returns
with a new album, Fiori nelle mani,
on Morning Star Records which, apart from its rich
musical content, offers a glimpse of the artist's own
personality.
As he stated in a recent interview, "My songs should be an
extension of various aspects of my own life - a natural
expression of who I am. That's what gives music its
credibility and the power to impact others".
Giuseppe De Chirico weaves fine poetic webs throughout his
lyrics, accompanying the listener on a voyage toward new
horizons.
Giuseppe De Chirico was born in Salò, Italy on July 18,
1963 and he now lives in Mantova with his wife and two
children. He is an all-around artist, who also dedicates his
time to professional photography, poetry and painting.
